What Profound does

Profound tracks brands across AI answer engines and has grown into a broader AI marketing platform. Its Answer Engine Insights cover visibility, sentiment, fact checking, citations and prompts. Its Agents can draft and optimise content and publish it to your CMS, either after a human review or directly, and its AI Marketer, Aim, adds a chat interface on top.

For brands, its pricing page lists two options. A free trial tracks 50 prompts for 7 days on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, in one region and language, using a recommended prompt set you cannot customise. Enterprise has custom pricing, tracking on up to nine engines, API access, exports and SSO. Agencies have a separate plan with client workspaces sold as add-ons.

What Seen42 does

Seen42 checks your prompts on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Google AI Overviews, explains where competitors are named instead of you, and builds and hosts comparison, facts and guide pages from your own facts. Paid plans are Starter $39 (15 prompts, 5 pages a month), Growth $89 (25 prompts, 8 pages) and Pro $189 (50 prompts, 15 pages). The Free plan runs one check of 10 prompts on ChatGPT and Gemini when you sign up.

Where they differ

  • Who it is for. Beyond the trial, Profound's plan for brands is Enterprise with custom pricing, and agencies have their own plan. Seen42 is a monthly self-serve plan for one site.
  • Coverage. Profound tracks more engines, more regions and more signals. Seen42 tracks five assistants.
  • Content. Profound's agents are flexible automations you set up. Seen42 has one fixed workflow: a page for a specific gap, built from your own facts, checked claim by claim and hosted for you.

When Profound is the better fit

Choose Profound if you need data across many engines and markets, fact checking of answers, an API, SSO, or custom agent workflows, and have an enterprise budget.

When Seen42 is the better fit

Choose Seen42 if you are a small team that wants to start this month without a sales call, track your own prompts, and get pages built and hosted for you.
